Dr. McEntire attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock, Arkansas. He completed his residency in general surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center, U.S. Army, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He then completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
His certifications include the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery. He currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
Dr. McEntire is passionate about learning and challenges himself to learn something new every day. He continuously studies vascular surgery and works on perfecting his surgical skills to provide the best care for his patients.
Dr. McEntire is retired from the U.S. Army as Colonel with 24 years of service and was deployed overseas to Afghanistan twice. During his last deployment, he was on the Special Forces Forward Surgical Team, GHOST (Golden Hour Offset Surgical Team).
Dr. McEntire lives with his wife, two daughters, and two dogs. When he’s not seeing patients, you can find him spending time with his family, exercising at the gym, and occasionally roller skating with the whole family.
